Out of Gas Pumps and Pickups from the Golden Age of Gas Jeffrey E. Blackman
Renowned photographer Jeffrey E. Blackman presents a collection of fun, lighthearted photographs of charming old pickup trucks and gas pumps, relics of the distant past—when gas was actually affordable. The photos span his travels throughout the U.S. and remind us of a time when we lamented the price of gas at $2 per gallon. Jeffrey E. Blackman’s photography has been featured in numerous high-profile publications, including Life, Newsweek, American Preservation, Polo Magazine, United Airlines in-flight magazines, and others. Among his assignments were the ice festival in Sapporo, Japan; the marble quarries of Pietrasanta, Italy; Formula One in Monaco; and NASCAR races and PGA tournaments throughout the U.S. He is also the author of End Zone, an extensive photo essay about the NFL. He lives in Wilmot, NH.
